Dear Residents of South Courtyard (and others eg nearby residents),


Here is a place for updated information on current changes to the Courtyard.  

This website has been set up by residents so that all the residents of the courtyard can know about the work being done by the Council.  

This is because some residents find out some information about what is happening (the email address for the Council department contact organising the work was given on flyers, posted to residents, and is also on the gates to the courtyard).  

NB: The information on this website may not be accurate, and because it is may be only what has been given by the Council or other organisations working on it, and maybe just to one resident and at a particular point in time, about the plans.  The Council have said that they will be posting a flyer to residents soon with an update.)


Purpose of the website:  

* To inform residents of what is happening in the (South) courtyard (work is being done by the Council - some funding was given for this too eg Lottery "Big Local" funding).

* So that residents can give comments eg ideas, and concerns (to each other about the courtyard and the current work of the Council).

* So that residents can share ideas with each other, about the courtyard.

Your full Comment, if requested, will then be posted in the Full Comments Section:  The main/summarised idea will be posted in the subject area so it is easy to read everything.  Your name, address etc will be kept confidential and not shared with anyone or on the website.

(If you have a neighbour without the Internet/email they can post comments at Camden Eye Clinic (opticians) in the box in the shop window, or at Cheezelo (café) 11am until 8.30pm Tuesday- Saturday.)

Please also indicate if you would like to know by email about any meetings that might best be held eg easily at the British Library - for anyone interested in particular topics eg the bike shed and its management.

(NB: If we use this website for "voting" on ideas, then we might need to verify that people are residents, in that case, via a note through their door, if agreed, in order to check.  Otherwise all contact will be confidential, and - unless you request not - it will be stated if you are a resident, and only roughly where you live, if known.)

History:  there was an event held at the TRA hall last year, an event in the Courtyard last year and some flyers were posted to residents with pictures.   However, changes are then made, and therefore it is difficult to keep updated by flyer.

The Council have stated some aims of theirs for the Courtyard project:

The three key aims for this works are: designed with residents / adds play value into the courtyard for young children / looks beautiful from balcony view, as well as pedestrians walking through the courtyard.
